Boris Bare is a Zagreb street art artist who has significantly contributed to the transformation of the urban landscape through his urban interventions in recent years. He is the founder of the “Pimp My Pump” project, an innovative initiative that brings abandoned city water pumps – the so-called “Iron Franceks” – back to life through art, transforming them into colorful sculptures depicting everything from Darth Vader to Lou Reed.
Together with Miro Petković Modul, Bare is the co-founder of Lapo Lapo gallery, Zagreb’s first street art studio dedicated to people who think outside the box and create art that transcends conventional definitions. He is also one of the initiators of Art Park in Ribnjak, a project that transformed a neglected urban space into an open-air street art gallery. Bare regularly collaborates with brands, and among his most notable works is a series of murals for Grif microbrewery, including an impressive 12×12 meter mural on Savska Street depicting a watchmaker – a symbolic story about the importance of crafts and skills. Through his work, Bare strives to make the world around us happier and more beautiful.
